An added feature has been implemented for members to be able to add Negative Keywords and Negative Products and apply them to Campaigns so that they no longer have to add them individually per Campaign in Seller Central.

To access the Search Term Report, click on the Search Term Report icon that is found on each campaign.

Note: When there is no Search Term Report data yet, on click of the icon, the Search Term Report table will display no data.

On the Search Term Report page, all Keywords and Products from your campaign are displayed. These are from Seller Central → Campaigns > Ad Group > Negative Targeting

The Search Term Report table displays the negative keywords and negative products upon selecting either Keywords or Products on the buttons above the table. By default, Keywords is selected, thus displaying all keyword search terms only. However, members can also display all the search term keywords and products simultaneously by clicking on their selection again to remove the filtering.

The Keywords Table and the Products Table

Keywords

When Keywords is selected, the column Search Term displays search term keywords.

Products

When Products is selected, the column Search Term displays ASINs.

Adding Negative Keywords

There are two ways to add negative keywords on the Search Term report:

Bulk Adding Negative Keywords

Members may bulk add their negative keywords by selecting the NE (Negative Exact) and NP (Negative Phrase) buttons beside each search term and by clicking on the Add Negatives button after selection.

Manually Adding Negative Keywords

Members may also add negative keywords manually by clicking directly on the Add Negatives button without selecting the NE/NP buttons beside the keywords.

Review Negative Keywords modal

On click of the Add Negatives button, it displays the Review Negative Keywords modal.

On this modal, members may manually add their negative keywords by clicking on the Import Keywords button, or by manually typing their keywords into the input box and selecting their Match Type.

Note: When importing keywords, members can import negative keywords from the negative keyword sets of Keywords Relevancy of the ASIN that is currently selected.

On click of the Add Keywords button, the added negative keywords are then listed on the right side of the modal along with their selected match types. Where members can Apply them directly to the current campaign.

Note: If the member clicks on the Add Negatives button after bulk adding their keywords via the NE/NP buttons, the keywords should automatically be added to the list of added keywords on the right of the modal.

Members may also apply the added keywords to multiple campaigns or match types by clicking on the Select Campaigns or Match Types radio button.

On click, it will extend the modal to display all active campaigns wherein the member can either select campaigns manually or select a Type of Campaign.

If the member manually selects campaigns, they should be able to filter the list of campaigns to show only their selected ones by turning on the toggle to Show Selected Campaigns.

However, if the member selected a type of campaign instead, the table will automatically display all active campaigns that are under the selected type of campaign. With that said, the toggle for Show Selected Campaigns is disabled, and the member can no longer manually select or deselect other campaigns from other campaign types – they should only be able to select multiple types of campaigns.

Applied Negative Keywords List

As a reference, the previously applied negative keywords can be seen on the right section of the modal on click of any of the Applied Match Type buttons, which also serves as a filter for the list of applied negative keywords.

Adding Negative Products

Same as the Negative Keywords, there are also two ways to add negative products on the Search Term report:

Bulk Adding Negative Products

To bulk add negative products, members may click on the NP (Negative Product) button beside the ASINs and click on Add Negatives after selection.

Manually Adding Negative Products

Members may also add their negative products manually by clicking directly on the Add Negatives button without selecting the NP buttons beside the ASINs.

Review Negative Products modal

When on the Products search term report, on click of the Add Negatives button, it displays the Review Negative Products modal.

On this modal, members may manually add their negative products by typing their product ASINs into the input box.

On click of the Add Keywords button, the added negative products are then listed on the right side of the modal along with their selected match types. Where members can Apply them directly to the current campaign.

Note: If the member clicks on the Add Negatives button after bulk adding their products via the NP buttons, the ASINs should automatically be added to the list of added keywords on the right of the modal.

Members may also apply the added ASINs to multiple campaigns or match types by clicking on the Select Campaigns or Match Types radio button.

Note: For negative products, only one type of campaign can be selected (Campaign Type: Auto). On click of this campaign type, the table will automatically display all active campaigns that are under the selected type of campaign.

Applied Negative Products List

As a reference, the previously applied negative products can be seen on the right section of the modal, on click of the Applied Match Type button (Negative Product).

Negative Keyword Highlights

On the Search Term report table, previously applied negative keywords are highlighted for quicker reference. Wherein Negative Exact keywords are highlighted in blue, while Negative Phrase keywords are highlighted in red.

By default, these negative keywords are displayed via the Include Negatives toggle. When the toggle is OFF, all negative keywords are hidden from the list.

On click of the keyword highlights, a small pop-up displays all the negative keywords that are included in the search term keyword.

Note: Negative phrase keywords take priority over the negative exact keywords. Thus, if a keyword contains both types, then the red highlight will overlap with the blue highlight; as also seen in the sample above.
