Trigger words are words that are marked as restricted by Amazon’s policies. On the Listing Optimizer tool, we have a Triggered Words section that will be able to list down trigger words that are found on a member’s listing.

In order to populate the Triggered Words section, the member should first click on Import via ASIN, select a marketplace, and an ASIN to import. Once the ASIN has been successfully imported, the listing boxes will populate.

If the imported listing descriptions contain trigger words, these words will be highlighted in gold. Upon hovering over these highlighted words, it will also display a tooltip that notes that the keyword is restricted.

Meanwhile, these highlighted trigger words should also populate the Triggered Words section on the left.

Additional Notes:

  • In order to remove a trigger word from the Triggered Words box, the member should first delete all mentions of the said trigger word from the listing boxes.

  • Detection of trigger words is case sensitive so that it won't list nouns/verbs if there's a similar acronym. Ex: differentiation between the word "add" and ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder)

  • If the member imports via keyword set, the words and phrases box will be populated, but the trigger words box will stay empty, even if there are trigger words in your imported keyword set.
