Product Research now features some new changes in its interface, as well as additional functionalities to help members understand and have a better visualization of their competitors’ data.

The new interface features a header with five tabs, which will only be displayed once a member selects the option to Run Analysis.

These are the steps to do so:

  1. Select desired competitor ASINs under the Competitor Data table.

  1. Click on More actions, and select Run Analysis.

  1. A pop-up modal should appear and confirm the selected ASINs. Once confirmed that they are correct, click on Run Analysis.

After the Running Analysis, the header will now appear at the top of the page and should display tabs which include the Analysis, Reviews, Questions, Variations, and Images tabs.

Additional  Note:

  • When navigating to the Reviews, Questions, Variations, and Images tab, you’ll notice that there is a section with listed ASINs. Only the selected ASINs prior to clicking Run Analysis appear in this section. These ASINs will also display data for their Revenue, Number of reviews, and Number of Variations.

Analysis Tab

The Analysis Tab includes the entire page of the Product Research where you’ll see the Criteria Checker, Averages table, and the Competitor Data table. This tab displays all the data for all the competitor ASINs in general.

Reviews Tab

The  Reviews tab displays the reviews data from the selected ASINs on Amazon. These data include both positive and negative reviews and their corresponding keyword phrases.

For the Positive Reviews section, only reviews with 4 - 5 ratings are displayed, while the 3.9 ratings and below will be displayed under the Negative Reviews section.

There are also filter options wherein a member may select to display reviews that only have 2 words, 3 words, 4 words, 5 or more words, or a combination of all options. These keyword phrases will also display how many times they appeared in general, their average rating, as well as the grouping if applicable.

Clicking on the chevron icon beside the keywords will display all the reviews that have the keyword phrase, together with its other details.

For the Groupings, members may add their custom groups to be used later on as filters for the Word Cloud.

To add a group, simply click on the Add Group button and it will display a pop-up modal where members can input a group name.

The group name assigned to the keyword phrase will now appear under the Grouping column. Noting that members may add multiple groups per keyword phrase.

The Word Cloud

The Word Cloud displays the keyword phrases from all the reviews that were gathered from your ASINs.

The keyword phrases are set up in a way that the bigger the scale of the keyword phrase, the higher their appearance count or rating is. The keyword phrases here can also be filtered so members may choose whether to display only those that are under the positive reviews, negative reviews or even filter them per group as previously set up.

Questions Tab

The Questions tab displays the questions that were asked for the selected ASINs on Amazon, including their answers. These questions can either be viewed by the highest number of votes, or by the highest number of answers.

By clicking on the See more answers, all other answers will be displayed.

Meanwhile, Common Questions are displayed on the right side, which are grouped per keyword phrase.

Variations Tab

The Variations tab displays all available variations of the selected ASINs. The table displays the ASINs of the variations, the exact variation that they are (e.g. size, color, etc.), their review count, review share, rating, and age.

Upon clicking the chevron icon beside the ASINs, it will open a dropdown that shows all the reviews and ratings for that particular ASIN on Amazon.

Images Tab

The Images tab displays all available images that the selected ASINs have on Amazon. They are displayed by the main image, up to the sub images (maximum of seven images).

Each image, when hovered, has functions to either add a note or show more.

  • Add a note – this opens a small input box where members may add their notes for the selected image.

Whenever there is a note added on an image, the pen icon will be replaced with a dot to  indicate that there is already a note for that image.

  • Show more – this opens a preview modal which shows an enlarged version of the selected image. It also displays the other images under the ASIN, as well as the notes that has been added

These images can also be exported as a PDF file. Once exported, the file will include all the images, the product names, and the notes that were added.
